YouTube Schedule

This page will list the videos I have in various stages of preparation and due to be uploaded to YouTube in the next few weeks. If you have any suggestions for videos then please leave details in the comments below.

At present I am recording using Microsoft Office 2010 but will soon be producing tutorials for users of Office 2016. The toolbar options are essentially the same in all versions of Excel from 2007 onwards.

Here’s what I have lined up so far.

February/March 2018

Microsoft Excel
Complex/Simple formulas and order of calculation
Using the IF Function and Nested IF Function
Using the Vlookup Function

Microsoft PowerPoint
Getting Started with PowerPoint
Working with Text Boxes
Editing and Using Outline View
Working with Bullet Points
Graphics Pt.1 Shapes and Pictures

I’ll update this page as I post each new video.

Thanks for watching and stay tuned!

Hi I did leave this comment on excel#22, but I guess you are busy if you can assist that would be great.

Firstly I would like to say many thanks for your excellent tutorials they have been extremely informative. I work with spreadsheets that can sometimes contain 30,000 lines and the area I would wish for´╗┐ support with is to change the date format. For myself one of the systems that i use shows the date as for example, 20110101 for Jan 1st 2011, can you show how this can be changed to show Jan 1st 2011 please………BR Mark

      Hi Mark,

Thanks for the comment. Yes I did see your question previously and intended to post a reply, but I must have been distracted with other matters! The solution is to use the DATE function and TEXT functions LEFT, MID & RIGHT. The complicated bit is actually the letters after the day value because it could be one of four (st, nd, rd, th) – but there’s a solution to this too! I’ll post a more detailed response tomorrow as I’m just on my way out. Regards, Guy.

I just came across your tutorial videos on youtube and I’m floored! Everytime I try to use Excel, I spend the whole time trying to figure out how to get started and how anything works! However, I just finished #12 and I’ve learned more in an hour than I’ve done in the past year! Thank you so much and I hope you continue to post these videos!!
    Thanks! ~Chris~

I just wanted to say thank you so much! Like the other people who commented, I want to say that I’ve learned more from your tutorials than I did in years of struggling with Excel. I especially like the way you incorporate the little shortcut, and that you usually show how to accomplish something in more than one way. Again, these are great! I can’t wait for the next one!

I spent a few ours each night watching your videos and I must say that I enjoyed each and every one of them. I am excel naive except the few time I have viewed what others have already done. Your easy to understand instruction has helped me to quickly learn this. Do you ship to the US? I would also like to purchase the set. Thank you so much for putting this out there! I’ve also just subscribed to your you tube channel. I am looking forward to more – including power point.

I would just like to say thank you for these tutorials. I never attended college nor do I have the opportunity to return to my education. Your tutorials have taken me to a whole new level and I am able to perform my duties at work with a lot more confidence. I felt so behind the times by thinking pegboard bookkeeping would be my only option but now I’m a contender. I thank you again for your time and dedication in creating these tutorials.

I have been letting my 9 year view them as well and he is ready to create his first spreadsheet…by documenting all of his Hotwheels and Legos pieces.
